It was another fantastic meeting for our Rotary Club.  Here are the highlights:

Jim Folger gave a moving Invocation about making a difference

We presented Pure Water for the World a check for $8,230!!  Carolyn Meub, Executive Director for PWW was there to receive it and gave us an update on the great work that they do to bring clean water to Haiti and Honduras as well as other areas in need.

Kim Wichert read a letter from Bill Harwood regarding the College Street Congregational Church fire that occurred last week.  Bill was not at the meeting because he was meeting with engineers and adjusters at the church dealing with the aftermath. Out club will do its best to help the church out in its restoration and recovery efforts.

Rit provided a wonderful report on the success of the first round of Dine-Around, which lasted into the wee hours.  Another round will be on Nov 2.

Joe Gaida summarized the survey on Club Service.  We will use this feedback to help shape our continued and future club service projects.

Our scheduled speaker cancelled at the last minute.  But wouldn't you know it, Peter Hawks was at the ready with a presentation of the Flyin Ryan Hawks Foundation Decisions Program which has been implemented at South Burlington High School with great success.

Finally, Sherry's ticket was picked again, but alas, the Queen remains in the deck.
