Melanoma Education - Early Detection Saves Lives

The American Cancer Society predicts 234,000 new U.S. cases of melanoma in 2026. it is often lethal if not found and removed at an early stage. Fortunately it is easy to find by yourself.   As an active Rotarian I have done over 600 Zoom presentations on early self-detection and prevention of melanoma to Rotary Clubs throughout the U.S. and Canada since mid-2022. Most clubs have been impacted by melanoma, affecting members, family members, friends, or colleagues. Peabody Rotary Club of Massachusetts, where I’m a Director, has two melanoma survivors, one is currently undergoing treatment for stage 4 metastatic melanoma.   Although the average U.S. melanoma diagnosis age is 65 years it can strike preteens to elderly but, when found early, can be cured permanently in a short outpatient visit without follow-up chemo or radiation.   The live professional quality PowerPoint presentation is complimentary with no revenue requests or advertising during or anytime after the presentation. A Zoom account is not needed to see and hear the presentation if your meeting venue has wifi and AV.   I have devoted the past 26 years to educating adults and teen students about early self-detection and prevention of melanoma.
