FARM FISHING IN THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO

Sustainable Aquaculture and Community Empowerment Project .

Location : Rural Community in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Province of Maniema , Town of Kindu , Lokala Concession (Jules Wetchi’s family Concession which located at 13km with the town of Kindu).

Many rural African communities rely on fishing as a primary source of food and income. However, overfishing, climate change, and limited access to modern aquaculture techniques have reduced yields and threatened livelihoods. This project aims to establish a sustainable fish farming system that boosts food security, creates jobs, and protects natural water resources.
